We cannot believe the second major holiday of the summer is upon us! Independence Day aka "4th of July" represents the celebration of freedom for the U.S. From BBQ's, concerts, parades, fireworks, and other traditional events 4th of July is always a great time.
Let's begin with the beauty department. Humidity + heat + heavy makeup = DISASTER! After moisturizing and applying SPF, you want to wear products that provide a light-medium coverage. For example a BB Cream or powder foundation. Cheek stains are a great option for blush, just keep it minimal. A red tinted lip balm is perfect and so is a little bit of waterproof mascara! Something light and easy to grab is a perfume roller-ball. Also great to have for quick re-application.
Summertime is H-O-T! Try staying cool and casual with a pair of cut-off denim shorts and a woven blouse. Plaid is a great option and if you like getting into the spirit of things, choose a pattern with patriotic colors. We suggest comfy shoes that are closed such as sneakers or espadrilles. Take the size of your bag into consideration based on your plans. Whether you're going to a fun BBQ or event, taking a small bag with you similar to the one above is a great option.
